Position Overview

PeopleForBikes is seeking a part-time (approx. 10-20 hours week) Member Services Coordinator to support membership renewal and accounts receivable operations. This position will also support organizational operations as needed.

Coalition membership dues are based on annual sales figures that each member company reports to us. Success in this role is measured by consistency and responsiveness.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with routine follow-up, professional in written communication with senior business contacts, and able to work independently within an established system. This is a great opportunity for someone who is seeking a professional part-time position with a set schedule. This position will report to the Director of Operations + People. The position is approximately 10 hours per week (3 work days). One day in the office per week. Work schedule will be by mutual agreement.

  • Handle shipping requests.
  • Assist with event communication and other department needs as requested.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years in customer service, membership support, accounts receivable, bookkeeping support, or a comparable coordination role.
  • Clear, professional written communication — this role corresponds directly with finance and executive contacts at member companies.
  • Able to keep confidentiality.
  • Comfort with consistent, structured follow-up over extended timelines.
  • Working familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM. Please highlight Salesforce experience on resume.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Claude AI and AI tools.

Preferred:

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar billing systems.
  • Prior work in a membership or trade association environment.
  • Interest in the bicycle industry, outdoor recreation, or advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits

This “at-will” position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The hourly range will be determined by the selected applicant, with a range of $23.00-$26.00.

This position is not eligible for benefits.
