Y I bike

Y I bike

We all have a choice to do things better. I chose to bike for a cause. I want to do my part to make our world a better place live for our future generations.
I am concerned about this inability of our generation to think beyond the stupidity of our convenience. It is everyone's responsibility to leave our environment as pristine and healthy as we received it from our ancestors. If you love your children and care for their future, reduce your carbon footprint by biking, carpooling or utilizing public transportation whenever possible.
The fallacy of convenience can be expressed in this simple comparison of energy utilization of a 10 mile drive and a 10 mile biking. The car driver burns no fat on the way, rather accumulates it along with the stress of traffic. The car driver also spends money for working out at the gym, looses precious time, burns more fuel to drive to the gym and further increases the carbon footprint by becoming part of the energy consumption for running the gym. For the bicyclist, fat is burned in the commute - with minimal carbon footprint, you let your children have a good environment to live on with the legacy of your ancestors.

Think about this for a moment - if all the CO2 emitted by you so far in your life were put into a balloon and if it starts following you wherever you go - how small will your balloon be?

Bike to work, stand up for your children - they have a right to quality environment.
