Selling it Felt Like Betraying a Friend

I bought my first bike in 1960. It was a used Schwinn Jaguar that looked good as new. It had a tank with a horn button and a battery for a head light, shiny chrome fenders, racks front and rear, and a gleaming red and chrome finish that made it look like a piece of art. When I sold it three years later to my brother, I felt like I had betrayed a friend. I loved that bike, but I moved on to a "racing bike". The attached photo is of a Jaguar that is not mine, but it is exactly like mine, except mine was unblemished.
