Riding Rebirth
Been riding all my life but never as seriously as this year after purchasing my first carbon frame bike. Rode as a kid growing up in West Seattle, rode everyday for three years while living in Finland not owning a car, rode to/from college, and have ridden for recreation and more recently for fitness. But this year after getting the new bike, I dedicated myself to commuting to work, an 18 mile daily trip that has transformed my well being more than I'd ever expected. Now rather than a handful of rides per month, I do one almost every day, and am loving the new technology. The bikes I replaced were over 25 years old.
I also feel great knowing that my carbon footprint is greatly reduced, our gas budget is reduced, and my health is better. Lets hope that more and more of us get out of our cars and onto our bikes.
