Recovery

All our lives together my wife, kids, and I had bikes. We never had time to ride as much as we wanted to.

In 2004 I was diagnosed with Melanoma which had spread to a lymph node. After a one year treatment I was totaly run down. By a stroke of luck we had moved to Olympia WA in 2005. Olympia and Thurston county is a very bike friendly area. I am now 73 years old and ride about 3000 miles per year. My doctors just tell me to keep riding. I think about half the illnesses that affect people can be helped by exercise. That is why I ride, although it is so much fun I would do it even if it was not good for me.
