Of marshmallow helmets and cornfield skies

I started biking as a tot when my dad bought my first bike when we came to the United States.  Biking became THE pastime when I came home from school.  I would throw down my books, put on my marshmallow helmet and kick around the neighborhood.

When I entered college, I met someone who loved biking even more.  We saved money from part-time jobs and bought two very nice road bikes.  And then it was biking every other day!  We went through corn fields and starry skies (nighttime was our free time) of Illinois, sometimes going with the local team.  We fell in love and have been together for 6 years, and biking is our perennial activity, and will be for a long time to come.
