Lifelong dream

When I was a kid, we lived on a major highway with no sidewalks.  My parents wouldn't let me have a bike.  I borrowed bikes from all my friends and rode when my parents weren't looking.  When I was 18, I bought my first 10 speed and a year later took my first 1000 mile tour (1973) and another 1000 miles 2 years later.  Then life got me busy and I took a break from long tours, but I"M BACK NOW!!  All these years later I'm amazed at how technology has improved biking and love the fact that so many people are into it.  I'm trying to get myself ready for a cross country tour.... I hope!!!  LOVE BIKING!!!
