Its name was Freedom & it was the year I became a citizen of USA

My first bike was a 1976 24" Ten Speed AMF Roadmaster. I named her Freedom, probably due to the fact that the USA was celebrating her bicentennial. I think that is the same year I became a citizen of USA.  I rode that bike everywhere! Candy stores, camp outs, but mostly just for fun. It seemed like everyone got a 10 speed for Xmas that year. Even the Brady Bunch were riding them!  I remember all the elementary school sports stars shocked faces when I would show up in a town 15 miles away from my home on my bike. My mom was terrified of driving, so I would ride. Crazy to look back, no helmet just jeans, sneakers and lots of go.
