The bicycle has always been my alibi.  It is the one thing in my life that I can count on to find freedom and peace of mind, making sense of the chaos that society throws at me each day.  Whether it's a little bit of stress, or a whole lot of challenges that are out of my control, once I get on my bike, I am able to pedal and process it.  It doesn't matter if I am on an epic Mountain Bike ride, training for a race, or just running errands, each time I jump on my bike, I am immediately graced with a connection to my true self and stepping off the bike more grounded to deal with whatever needs my attention.   There is a simplicity to it that helps me set my priorities straight.  If total bliss can be achieved by riding a bike, then maybe some of the frivolous "necessities" of life are not so important.  It is this simplicity, the essence of being present and happy in the moment that drives me to passionately inspire other women to re-discover the joy of riding a bike.  I say "re" discover, because we have all had that first experience as a child.  Learning to ride a bike is an essential right of passage that teaches us focus, determination, self confidence, freedom and many more valuable lessons that we take with us into life.  To awaken these powers in ourselves as adults, is a major step towards collective consciousness.  I have dedicated my life to inspiring women as they hold the key to the next generation integrating the bike more effectively into their lifestyles, and our culture.  Pedal it forward!
