Bike Yes, Baseball, not so good

I got my first bicycle when I was 12 in 1945. It was a liberating thing as I was the worse Baseball player on the block. Bicycling didn't require the hand eye coordination that Baseball did. By 1947 I discovered bicycle racing and it was something that skinny kids could compete at and do all right. I did compete and though I didn't win much as I had no sprint to speak of. what I did have was endurance. So after I was 40 I just kept at it as since I didn't win much when I was in my 20's it didn't bother me much not winning when I was 40. Now 40 more years have passed and I am still riding though most of my riding is now on a Mountain bike. For the past 25 years I have averaged over 12,000 miles per year. At age 80 I am noticeably slower though I still do rides of 125 Mile mostly on dirt..
