Back to my youth

Back to my youth
I always rode a bike when I acquired my first 3-speed in 6th grade. From then I mowed lawns, threw papers, and worked my tail off to raise funds to move up to my Schwinn 10-speed continental. When not running cross-country and doing 10K races I put thousands of miles on that bike. I got my first car, retired the bike, but commuted on it when the car went down. Over time as I got older my body showed it and the 10-speed sat in storage and I became a full time worker commuting in cars. At age 50 I came down with an inner ear disorder that gave me permanent vertigo and I also needed knee surgery. I needed to get back into biking but due to my balance disorder I couldn't get back on my old 2 wheeler. I found the answer by purchasing a recumbent tricycle which was a blessing to both my body and my balance. Today I enter races and ride many old railroad paths that have been converted to bike paths and I love it.
