A necessity became a passion.

A necessity became a passion.
I first started riding full-time when our vehicle died on the side of the road. I would have cost more to get it fixed than we owed on it. And since we were behind on payments, due to job loss, we decided to just let it go back to the bank. We got used bikes off of Craigslist and had no idea that it would become such an enjoyable way of life. We don't live in a very bike friendly area, so it has its challenges. But right now I can't imagine ever wanting to own another expensive, gas hogging vehicle again. The picture is of my sweetie with his Specialized that he received from a kind-hearted person off of CL after he had a new bike stolen. Our cycles are our only mode of transportation, but they are so much more to us than a way to merely get around. We have really embraced the bicycle life and love it.
