2014 Ride on Chicago

Professional cyclist Tim Johnson founded this ride in 2011 to raise funds and awareness for PeopleForBikes. Originally known as the Ride on Washington, the ride traversed the eastern seaboard from Boston to Washington, D.C. In just three years, the ride has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for PeopleForBikes, supporting our work to make riding a bike safer in all communities.

In 2014, the event moved to a new location: the Midwest. Riders started in Kansas City, MO and finished in downtown Chicago, pedaling more than 500 miles in just five days.

The 2014 Ride on Chicago successfully raised more than $100,000 for PeopleForBikes! Stay tuned for details on next year's ride.
