Email addresses, mailing addresses, and personal information
Rest assured that we won’t share your email address, mailing address, or other personal information with any other company or organization. You may receive periodic emails or mailings from us with news about PeopleForBikes. If you ever want to be taken off our mailing list, just let us know and we’ll remove you promptly.
We may provide compilations of the sign up pledge participants to national leaders in order to influence decisions that will improve the future of bicycling, but we will always do so without disclosing email addresses.
Online donations and credit card information
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which is the industry standard for secure commercial transactions. This encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address and prevents anyone else from intercepting the credit card information you send. Your credit card information goes directly to our processing agent; no one at peopleforbikes.org ever sees or records your information. Companies that we work with to process credit card transactions use high-grade encryption and security protocols.
