Greenville, SC sales tax increase could fund 100 new bike + walk projects

October 29, 2014

Biking is on the ballot this November

This year, there’s a question on the Greenville, South Carolia county ballot that could build 100 new places to bike and walk.

On November 4, Greenville County voters will decide whether or not to increase the sales tax by one cent to fund road improvements, bridge projects, pedestrian amenities and road resurfacing.

The Greenville area will gain a ton of new places to ride if this ballot question passes. It will help build two new sections of the Swamp Rabbit Trail, bike lanes on Roe Ford Road and Augusta Street and 100 other bicycling and walking projects.

If you live in Greenville County, visit Bike Walk Greenville for more information on the ballot question, and make sure you get out and vote on November 4th!
